Landon Kemp’s Walk-off Gives Cherokee Bluff Victory Over East Forsyth

A walk-off single propelled the Cherokee Bluff Bears to a dramatic victory over East Forsyth Broncos, 4-3. The Bears were down 3-2 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Landon Kemp singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Cherokee Bluff got things started in the second inning, scoring one run when Garrett Harper singled.

East Forsyth knotted the game up at two in the top of the sixth inning. Wyatt Barden singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Brady Stephens got the win for Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears. The pitcher surrendered two runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out five and walking one. Cherokee Bluff Bears Defeat East Hall Vikings Despite 3-Run First Inning

The East Hall Vikings scored three runs in the first inning, but the Cherokee Bluff Bears prevailed 15-4 on Friday. The Vikings offense in the inning was led by Caden Crocker, Walker Barrett, and Drew Campbell, who all drove in runs.

Cherokee Bluff secured the victory thanks to ten runs in the third inning. The Bear offense in the inning came from doubles by Caleb Miele and Brett House, a single by Ethan England, a home run by Ty Corbin, and a sacrifice fly by Kaden Thompson.

The Vikings opened up scoring in the first inning, when Crocker doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

The Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears pulled away for good with ten runs in the third inning. In the third inning Miele doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
