Kaden Thompson Drives in 4 to Lead Cherokee Bluff Past North Hall

Kaden Thompson drove in four runs on two hits to lead Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears past North Hall 12-4 on Wednesday. Thompson hit a home run to right field in the third inning, scoring three runs, and singled in the fifth inning, scoring one.
Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears won thanks in part to 10 runs in the third inning. Caleb Miele hit a grand slam to center field, Jacob Vokal hit a solo home run to center field, Bubba Coleman doubled, scoring one run, Caleb Davis singled, scoring one run, and Thompson homered to right field, scoring three runs.

North Hall got on the board in the second inning after an error scored one run.
North Hall extended their early lead with two runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by M Lothridge and M Jimerson.
Jack Sparks started on the hill for Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears. The starting pitcher allowed seven hits and four runs (two earned) over four and one-third innings, striking out five and walking three. C Payton stepped on the hill first for North Hall.
They gave up three hits and six runs (five earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking two.
Gabe Gowder tossed two innings of shutout ball for Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears in relief. The reliever surrendered one hit, striking out six and walking one.

Jimerson and C Wright were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for North Hall. Jimerson and J Read each collected two hits for North Hall.
