Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears Grabs Lead in Fifth Inning to Defeat Morgan County Bulldogs Varsity

The Cherokee Bluff Bears stole the lead late and defeated the Morgan County Bulldogs Varsity 5-3 on Monday night. The game was tied at three with Cherokee Bluff batting in the top of the fifth when Caleb Miele doubled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.
Morgan County got things started in the first inning. Brendan Conway drove in one when he doubled.
The Bears evened things up at three in the top of the fourth inning when Landon Kemp singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Braxton Beal was on the pitcher’s mound for Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears. The pitcher surrendered three runs on two hits over five innings, striking out six and walking one.
Ty Tillery led things off on the mound for Morgan County Bulldogs Varsity. Tillery went four innings, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out two and walking zero. Jackson Miller and Draco Frazzitta entered the game as relief, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
Ty Corbin went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cherokee Bluff Varsity Bears in hits.
Conway led Morgan County Bulldogs Varsity with two hits in four at bats.
