Cherokee Bluff Bears Varsity Loses Lead Early in Defeat

Cherokee Bluff Bears Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in an 11-5 loss to Stephens County Indians Varsity on Saturday. Stephens County Indians Varsity scored on a single by Jacob Pruitt, a single by Garrett Burgess, and a double by Patrick Murrary in the second inning.

The Cherokee Bluff Bears Varsity struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Stephens County Indians Varsity, giving up 11 runs.

Grant Babbitt was on the pitcher’s mound for Stephens County Indians Varsity. The bulldog surrendered three runs on five hits over four and a third innings, striking out four.

Chandler Shope started the game for Cherokee Bluff Bears Varsity. Shope surrendered five runs on five hits over one inning, striking out one.

Caleb Miele led Cherokee Bluff Bears Varsity with two hits in four at bats.

Stephens County Indians Varsity collected ten hits. Cruz Mullinix, Burgess, and Babbitt each had multiple hits for Stephens County Indians Varsity.
